    Before being called to the Bar in 1988, Pete graduated from McMaster University in 1985 with an Honours Degree in Political Science, and graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1986.

 

 Pete’s practice is specific to civil litigation, specializing in Property Law, including fire litigation (for both insurers and policyholders), coverage disputes, insurance fraud, Special Investigation Unit defences, and product liability.

 

He has appeared at trials at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Appellate hearings before the Ontario Court of Appeal, and has acted as an Umpire for purposes of the Appraisal process pursuant to the Insurance Act.

 

Pete is an active member of the Board of Directors International Association of Arson Investigators, the Advocates Society, the Hamilton Lawyer’s Club, and the Hamilton Law Association. He is also a Past-President of the Hamilton-Medical Legal Society.
